Lesson Plan in Math (mental Retardation)

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson the pre-school MR pupils should be able to:

A. identify the colors green, orange and violet
B. match the object of the same color and
C. participate n class activities

II. A. Subject Matter
Topic: Secondary Colors
B. Reference: Learning package for children with Mental Retardation
pp.135-136 and Portage guide to early education “Kards’.
Value Focus: Obedience
C. Materials: Bow, drawings, construction paper

III. Procedure
A. Preparatory Activities
Teacher Say Pupil Response
1. Singing 1, 2 and 3 fishermen.
1, 2 and 3 fisherman (repeat 2x)
Fisher---fisher man man man (repeat 2x)
1, 2 and 3 fishermen.

2. Review
Do you like the color of your tables and chairs? Yes Ma’am
May I ask those who are sitting on the red chairs,
Please stand. (pupils standing)
Thank you, please sit down.

Those who are in yellow tables,
Please tap your tables. ( pupils tapping)

And, those who are sitting n blue chairs,
Please wave your hands.
Very good children.

2. Presentation/ Discussion
Can you see color green? Ok there.
2.1) That table is color green. Everybody,
Say green. Green

Very Good.

Now I will scatter this paper on the floor, then you will pick the color which I’m going to tell you.

VI. Evaluation
Now look under your tables and get what is paste there.

Stand, go to the board and match it on its same color.
